  • Benefits

    Did you know:

Diamond Precise® Lamps save a significant amount of energy since each lamp consumes just 21 watts. The lamps' low wattage also reduces CO2 emissions. If a retail store switched 100 50-watt halogen PAR20 lamps to 50 Diamond Precise® lamps it could save more than US$ 1,200 in energy costs over the life of the lamps while reducing CO2 emission by 17,000 pounds per year, which is equivalent to planting two acres of trees.

    Did you know:

A Diamond Precise® lamp will pay for itself in energy savings in less than one year when replacing a 50-watt halogen PAR20 lamp. It will also provide twice the life of a 50-watt halogen PAR20, reducing maintenance and labor costs.

  • Detailed Information

    Reduced energy and longer life

Traditional lamps waste energy by emitting both heat and extraneous light. With a standard halogen or incandescent lamp, much of the light projected does not fall on the intended target, but is diffused in the surrounding area due to poor optical control. Additionally, these lamps have an operating life of only 2,500 hours.

The Diamond Precise® Lamp was developed by GE to save energy, provide long life and fit existing light fixtures in retail, commercial, museum and restaurant settings. They have the convenience of standard PAR20 and R20 lamps, offering a more controllable atmosphere by operating on standard incandescent dimming circuits. To eliminate extraneous light, the Diamond Precise® has tight optical control that is achieved by utilizing a multi-faceted reflector that keeps the white, halogen light on target, requiring 58 percent less energy.

Due to its reduced energy usage and a longer life span, Diamond Precise® Lamps also provide a significant cost savings. A Diamond Precise® Lamp will pay for itself in energy savings in less than one year and provide 5,000 life hours, twice the life of comparable halogen (PAR20) or incandescent reflectors (R20) – reducing both maintenance and labor costs. Specifically, a Diamond Precise® Lamp will reduce energy consumption by 58 percent and energy costs by about US$ 14.50 per year.
