PGT25 Products

The PGT25+ and PGT25+G4 are LM2500+ and LM2500+G4 aeroderivative gas generators coupled with a high speed power turbine that can be used for power generation or mechanical coupling to a compressor. The core engine technology for the gas generator is engineered from the aviation CF6-6 aircraft engines. The technology for the High Speed Power Turbine is engineered from industrial gasturbine technology. The DLE combustion system has been developed specifically for industrial use where emission requirements are in place, and high operability and fuel flexibilty are required.

Environmental Benefit

At baseload conditions, GE’s PGT25+ DLE aeroderivative gas turbine operating on natural gas has the highest efficiency in the 29 - 32 MW power range, producing lower CO2 emissions per MW of power output than competing technologies.

Operating Benefit

Compared to an aeroderivative gas turbine with an efficiency of 38.2 percent at base load conditions, GE’s PGT25+ DLE consumes approximately 160,000 less MMBTU of natural gas per year for 30 MW of output, yielding an annual savings of approximately $1.1 million at a natural gas price of $7/MMBtu.
