High Efficiency Halogen Lamps
Halogen HIR™ Lamps provide a small, white light source with excellent color rendering. Unlike standard incandescent lamps, halogen lamps use a halogen gas that allows the bulbs to burn longer without sacrificing light output.
Environmental Benefit
A 55-Watt HIR+™ lamp consumes 27 percent less energy than a 75-Watt Halogen Plus lamp while producing the same lumen output. If a retail store switched 200 down lights from 75-Watt Halogen Plus lamps to 55-Watt HIR+™ lamps of the same lumen output, it could avoid the emission of over 10.5 metric tons of CO2 per year on the U.S. grid, equivalent to the CO2 absorbed annually by approximately 3 acres of Southeastern U.S. forest.
